What is the ACE Approach?

The ACE (Active learner, using a Customized book to become Enriched in learning) approach is a proactive approach to the effective use of the textbook by the pupils. The approach is based on the believe that textbooks are more effective when they are used as a self-exploratory resource by the pupils  and a facilitation tool kit by the teachers. Through this method, pupils become capable of customizing the textbook to a resource kit best suited for their own learning abilities. The ACE approach transforms textbook into a dynamic resource kit which allows pupils to maximize their learning. Through the ACE approach, pupils are equipped with the skills to take control of their learning and develop interest in the curricular content. This further supports effective pedagogy to create a conducive teaching and learning environment which enhances pupil engagement and reduces classroom management issues.
