Who creates ACE?

The ACE Approach is at the experimental stage currently. This is developed by us, a group of Humanities teachers from Sembawang Secondary School. As part of our effort to enhance teaching and learning, we are looking at various aspects of pupils' learning. Some of the areas we are reviewing include:

• How to maximise pupils' learning in the classroom?

• How to get pupils to be motivated to excel in Humanities?

• How to support teachers to enhance teaching and learning?

• How to establish greater partnership with our stakeholders to enhance pupils' education?

• How to get pupils to be ready for learning?

The ACE Approach is part of our effort at getting pupils to be ready for learning. In order to be ready for learning, there are several areas we have to work with our pupils. This include getting them to be on tasks, getting them to take ownership and getting them to be able to effectively use the resources they have. The effective use of the textbook is one way in which we hope to get pupils to be ready for learning.
